The Starting Point
One system. One master spreadsheet.
Tema Eiendom is a property company in Gjøvik with a growing portfolio. Contract data, property information and finance already existed in the core system, but it was demanding to extract and present data in a way that provided real insight.
In practice, most things were handled manually. The controller sat with a master spreadsheet with thousands of rows. Data was entered by multiple people with different practices and follow-up. And when someone needed figures, they had to ask a colleague instead of finding it themselves.

When the project started, the extent of the data quality problems became clear. What was intended as a reporting project also became work to clean up master data and establish clearer routines.
